Hard to see our games with Tyrone going ahead now, hope we get the county final played next week, there'll be no All Ireland in 2020, we'll all be fully locked down soon.

The covid figures in Donegal, Derry and Tyrone are alarming. It's incredible how this virus can spread so quickly, only a few weeks back we were complaining about supporters not being allowed to games, now it will be difficult to play a game at all.

Donegal play Tyrone in the league in 2 weeks time, going to be difficult to play that game I would think. How are the GAA going to handle a positive case in an inter-county squad in the lead up to a game?

I think the current situation is more evidence of a amateur sport being run by a professional body. The GAA administration are all professionals at the top level who are paid to effectively run a business. Not for one minute do I suggest they'll put decisions above the health of it's members but one does have to conclude their current path is being taken with a corporate hat on ie saving media/sponsorship contracts.

Rugby and soccer (in this country) and worldwide are professional sports people so it's easier to manage bubbles and regular testing. If cases continue to rise surely someone needs to acknowledge we're amateur at playing level; these players have to be in the community working etc.

Whilst cases were under control it was right to plan an inter county championship but as we head into the winter and cases are rising it's becoming harder to justify an amateur sport continuing. I'd like to see a championship and I always thought it would happen; now I'm not so sure.

Wouldn't go blaming GAA when it was the Government who let 10's of thousands of students from all over the country to go back to college for them to mix and then bring God knows what home at weekends. Not the students fault either. A lot of students come home to play for local teams. The Government tried to use our young to bring in herd immunity but it has got out of control and back fired on them.

I wouldn't disagree with any of your points and I didn't mean to put blame on the GAA administration. What I am saying though is it's obvious to the dogs on the street numbers are rising and projections are for this to only go one way. What we're seeing is a professional body at the top reluctant to make an obvious decision; whilst difficult to do I can't see how they can continue to pursue their plan to play an amateur sporting competition at what looks increasingly likely to be the peak of the second wave.

I think they're looking at other sports which will probably continue throughout but at what stage do they acknowledge we aren't like other sports; we're amateur and that's a significant difference in terms of safety and players potential implications in their workplaces.

It's a big decision but one I think we're sadly coming closer to having to make.

Agree , GAA i think needs to step up and allow no spectators to matches and try and show as many as possible on TV. Would hate to loose out on the All Ireland series over the head of allowing fans to games.

There was far more than 200 at today's Meath County final. All huddled together under the stand as it was raining.

Just had a quick recap there and no way was there more than 200 in stands. I'm extremely familiar with Pairc Tailteann trust me there was no breech.
