Replying To Royal.Legend:  "Connaught is in fact the weakest provence of the four as in all Ireland's won. Leinster is in fact the strongest with 50 all Ireland's followed by Munster on 49 Ulster have 17 and finally connaught only have 14. New York have been very close to winning a game and London have reached a connaught final something that definitely wouldn't of happened in the other three."
Dublin and Kerry won those All-Irelands essentially. Outliers and aberrations in the overall provincial/All-Ireland records. You put NY into Leinster or Munster for 20 years they would win a game. They have zero in Connacht, check the stats again. London will do nicely in the qualifiers.

43 ? And scored from 23 so 20 wides so.. 20 wides that's unbelievable, Something to work on for the next game..

Most of those wides under no real pressure according to Midwest last night too. So plenty of work to be done before we face Leitrim or Roscommon on Saturday fortnight.

As far as I know there was 4 All-Irelands in a row won by 4 different teams (3 counties) all from one provence which is unusual and may be a record - goes some way to explain competition. Kerry won 37 and Dublin won 28 -I think.

Fair enough we will have to improve to get past either the Ros and Leitrim but after watching Galway kick a whopping sixteen points against the might of London, I'm afraid a win in Pearse stadium is beyond us. No we only had the nineteen wides, one came back off a post.

Awful to see people out enjoying themselves. Down with that sort of thing!

Totally right Belclare, Mayo won't be getting within an ass's roar of Sam with a shot conversion rate of just over 50%. I think it was 18 wides overall and 2 dropped short, so very sloppy. Any idea for the record how many shots Galway got off... Was it more than 30? Both obviously have a lot of work to do, but this is early May so that's what you'd expect.

If they even learnt the words of the Green and Red of Mayo it might not be do cringeful.. Then again at least it's better than that beautiful song "mayo" "mayo"

That's why I didn't go Clondalkin... I'm a bit of a Puritan truth be told and like yourself wouldn't be comfortable watching a crowd of people having a good time. Down with that sort of thing.

All depends on the draw for London to reach a Leinster or Munster final and some recent New York teams (not the current one) would have ran plenty of Munster and Leinster teams close probably would have beaten them. Its Connacht BTW Connaught was the name of the province when the British ruled this country.

So am I Clon... it's other people I have a problem with too. You're not by any chance involved in one of the Ireland's current killjoy professions by any chance - the lawyering industry or insurance? They really put the 'P' into Puritan and lots of other things in this country, more power to them! At least my fellow county men and women had the good judgement to exhibit their joy de vivre in a far flung place, much like their forebears have had to do for generations! But sure, isn't that what other countries exist for... a life beyond? Mayo for Sam I say!

I'm sure Wisdom, you meant when The Brits ruled 'this part of the country'. Unfortunately they still rule part of our country.
