Congrats to the Rossies who showed great desire and determination to turn it around in the second half. Completely deserved the win in the end. Pretty abysmal stuff from Galway especially in the second half. The style of football implemented by the current management does not suit the players available. Hard to see much of a turnaround which could be a benefit in disguise as I think a change is needed. I don't know what Galway supporters think but how the hell is Kieran Molloy not starting? I was at a league game a few years ago - 8 points down midway through the 2nd half, we had everyone back in our own half of the field. As nightmare weekends go, galway's takes some beating. Eliminated from the hurling by a galway man and then embarrassed by an Anthony Cunningham managed roscommon team on their home soil. Incredible. What's the mood like in galway towards their football team at the moment? Are people fed up of Walsh and his tactics? Minors beat Mayo and going for 5 in a row, 20s hammered Dublin to win the John Kerins cup, Juniors beat Mayo do win Connacht, and seniors beaten, but more importantly our manager will not survive this season so a overdue change in playing style and players will benefit this great county. Great win for Roscommon, thought they were beaten at half time but they came out the second half and blew Galway away. Cathal Cregg had a great game as did Enda Smith. Cunningham has made them more solid defensively and theyhave some really good players. I can only see them getting better. As for Galway, they were a huge disappointment. Once Shane Walsh was being kept quiet they had nobody else. Surely Kieran Molloy is good enough to be on the starting 15. Well done Roscommon. Anthony Cunningham has instilled a lot of self belief and going out knowing you have the capability to compete with anyone is the foundation for more good performances in the future. I don't want to be too critical of Galway... we've every chance of meeting them if we survive Newry and whatever round 3 might have in store. If we manage to get that far and the draw dictates, we'll have a genuine knockout game with them, and that hasn't happened in a long time.
