Who's consensus? Just brilliant overexuberance on a great day for them.

You're being very generous there. Right now I think anyone would like to meet us. As for not seeing it coming, all the same issues that were there today in the 2nd half were visible against London. Ailteoir (Galway) - Posts: 898 - 16/06/2019 18:24:46 2195925 Link 0 |

Jeepers, your right, fair play, would have lost money on that. I was IPad in hand booking hotels online had Galway won. Our away game will be either Cavan or Donegal away, or whoever comes through the qualifier. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4516 - 16/06/2019 18:27:25 2195928 Link 4 |
Congrats to the Rossies who showed great desire and determination to turn it around in the second half. Completely deserved the win in the end. panamasam (Australia) - Posts: 2856 - 16/06/2019 18:28:37 2195930 Link 0 |
Fair play Roscommon. Well done. Didn't see the game but from comments here it appears to have been poor. Not that Roscommon will care about that. lilywhite1 (Kildare) - Posts: 3028 - 16/06/2019 18:33:33 2195936 Link 0 |
A fantastic result for Roscommon today in Pearse Stadium. Fair play to them. GormlaighG (Mayo) - Posts: 77 - 16/06/2019 18:36:21 2195938 Link 1 |
they've been visible for 5 years now. You raise yourselves against your arch enemy then fall back to a level that's more akin to the squad you have, Walsh and this current team are one trick ponies i'm afraid. BeJasus (UK) - Posts: 383 - 16/06/2019 18:39:31 2195944 Link 0 |
Indeed they have. I was at a league game a few years ago - 8 points down midway through the 2nd half, we had everyone back in our own half of the field. The fact that we won with the last kick of the game couldn't hide the fact that the tactics were bizarre.

As nightmare weekends go, galway's takes some beating. Eliminated from the hurling by a galway man and then embarrassed by an Anthony Cunningham managed roscommon team on their home soil. Incredible. GallantJohnJoe (Cavan) - Posts: 329 - 16/06/2019 18:59:39 2195958 Link 2 |
So the Dubs will have 2 home games again..that should go down well with the begrudges!!

Outstanding win by Roscommon. Galway having a bad year all round so far. But enjoy the right to party Rossies!! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8746 - 16/06/2019 20:06:04 2196003 Link 4 |

Not as bad as you sir from Cavan thinks.. Minors beat Mayo and going for 5 in a row, 20s hammered Dublin to win the John Kerins cup, Juniors beat Mayo do win Connacht, and seniors beaten, but more importantly our manager will not survive this season so a overdue change in playing style and players will benefit this great county. Best of luck in your quest v Donegal to win a first cup in what 20 years?? Belclare (Galway) - Posts: 904 - 16/06/2019 20:10:06 2196006 Link 0 |
Pointing towards moral victories against Mayo does not take away the fact that this Galway outfit have looked bang average against various opponents.. BeJasus (UK) - Posts: 383 - 16/06/2019 20:25:47 2196023 Link 1 |

Winning 5 in a row minors is hardly a moral victory

Great win for Roscommon, thought they were beaten at half time but they came out the second half and blew Galway away. Cathal Cregg had a great game as did Enda Smith. Cunningham has made them more solid defensively and theyhave some really good players. I can only see them getting better. Green_Gold (Donegal) - Posts: 1906 - 16/06/2019 21:30:12 2196068 Link 0 |
Well done Roscommon. Anthony Cunningham has instilled a lot of self belief and going out knowing you have the capability to compete with anyone is the foundation for more good performances in the future. Pericles (Mayo) - Posts: 2521 - 16/06/2019 21:33:54 2196071 Link 0 |
