That must rank as one of the darkest halves in galway's proud football history. Hard to see where they go from here, surely the end for Walsh isn't far away. GallantJohnJoe (Cavan) - Posts: 329 - 16/06/2019 17:38:44 2195859 Link 1 |

Well done to the Rossies, absolutely inspirational second half and a well deserved Connaught title. They did it the hard way too beating both Mayo and Galway. Enjoy the celebrations!! GeniusGerry (Kerry) - Posts: 2113 - 16/06/2019 17:44:30 2195867 Link 6 |

What a dour display of gaelic football, the amount of playacting, feigning injury, pulling and dragging out of lads was unbelievable. Awful stuff. Bon (Kildare) - Posts: 2314 - 16/06/2019 17:48:36 2195876 Link 5 |

Well done Roscommon, fully deserved. For Galway players I feel terrible, as they have so much potential, but are absolutely totally hamstrung by a management team that really are clueless. Belclare (Galway) - Posts: 904 - 16/06/2019 17:53:15 2195882 Link 3 |
Well done to Roscommon; a very spirited and typically passionate performance. Their fans are to be admired. I agree with other posters though; awful standard of football in many ways. Galway looked poor, but they have the players to re-group. That second half was shocking. Roscommon could cause an upset or two in the super 8s. Fans to be admired? The consensus seems to be that their premature invasion at the end was disgraceful and could've cost their team.

Congrats to da rossies. Great second half battling display. I still stand by view that Galway are going nowhere under Walsh. Fell apart in the second half. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11563 - 16/06/2019 18:08:07 2195900 Link 5 |
You won't be going to the Hyde. Provincials champions play each other in the "neutral" game in Croke Park.

Best team won. Galway in the second half were worse then useless. A truly shocking weekend jesus can my heart break anymore heartbroken (Galway) - Posts: 370 - 16/06/2019 18:11:28 2195906 Link 1 |
Wow, congratulations to the Rossies didn't see that coming at half time. Went up a gear the second half and Galway collapsed after the goal. Rossies Really wanted it more, Galway just melted in that second half, in the face of that desire. Looking forward to our trip to Hyde if we win Leinster next week. Kilroy, Cox to many hero's to name. Great scenes at the end, real old school, no malice! I believe provincial Winners play each other in Croke Park in the 2nd round of games[Super 8s] GreenAndGold74 (Kerry) - Posts: 194 - 16/06/2019 18:11:42 2195907 Link 0 |
Didn't see that one coming. Galway look lost without Comer. Thought Michael Daly was doing ok, couldn't understand how he was taken off before Ian Burke who didn't get a kick. Fair play to Roscommon, no disputing who are top dogs in Connacht. Hard to know where Galway are at but I don't think anyone will like to meet them all the same. Looking at the Ross delight at the end, who said provincial titles don't matter! Llaw_Gyffes (Mayo) - Posts: 1113 - 16/06/2019 18:15:25 2195911 Link 1 |
