Not really sure what way I feel yet about this weekend! Plenty to work on from the last day and I think Jim Gavin will make a couple of changes especially to the forward line which so far just isn't clicking as well as it can. Tyrone will be all guns blazing to erase the memory of last year's drubbing and Dublin will want to prove to anyone that they can go away from Croke Park on a big championship day and get the job done. I expect us to come out the right side of this by 2 or 3 points but I don't think it will be a big winning margin. Has the makings of being a special evening and one that the Super 8s needs to inject a bit of life into things after last weekend's damp squib. Totally agree with this poster and many Tyrone friends of mine share his/her view. I watched the semi last year from high up in the hogan stand - I just couldn't believe the tactics from Harte- small man up front on his own for most parts marked by minimum of 2 Dubs - when Tyrone conceded possession they didnt even try and regain it - they just turned on their heels and ran back into defensive positions in their own half. I could see thru this if they didn't allow Dubs to score but the opposite happened and Dubs scored at will. I looked at harte and he just stood on sidelines with arms folded and motionless. He didn't even try something new second half. However he seems to be trying something different in last few games in having a big target man in Richard Donnelly up front with at least 2 others alongside him even without possession - but will he do this against the Dubs at weekend - only then will we know if Harte has learned anything or will he remain doggedly convinced of a tactic that's 10 years old and most good teams can exploit.

I can't stop thinking Tyrone are going to eventually turn into Meath post Boylan era. Tyrone have a solid group of inter county footballers but I wouldn't say they are any better than around five or six teams and certainly not at the standard of two or three teams. The manager has kept Tyrone football close to the top table for ten years, winning Ulster Championships and playing Division 1. Yes they have huge backing which helps the conditioning of the team but sometimes people don't know what they have until later down the road. When the great All Ireland winning teams left the stage there was a realisation if not properly managed Tyrone could drop very quickly. They struggled to compete with Donegal and Monaghan in Ulster for a number of years but like Cody is doing with Kilkenny, Harte managed the transition perfectly. Tyrone simply don't have the forwards or the players to win an All Ireland. However if they can manage to somehow achieve it, 100% credit would have to go to Harte. He is imo working miracles with fairly limited resources..sadly for Tyrone maximising potential isn't always enough when your playing the best. He will learn from last year and they might get closer on Sat but I fully expect the Dubs to win by 6 plus. A defeat would not be down to the management as I doubt any other management team would have this Tyrone team any closer to achieving an All Ireland. It would be the best All Ireland win of all time if he did manage to win it.

I thought Tyrone played well against Dublin in Omagh in the first half of this years league game. Tyrone have come on leaps and bounds over the past five games and in my opinion are peaking nicely for the major part of the season. I wonder how Kerry for instance would have fared last weekend if they had played four games in the back door previous to the game with Galway. Tyrone are really going well at the moment and have done really well to reignite their season after the loss to Monaghan. They really hammered Roscommon and Cork and have been scoring for fun. However you can forget about past performances when you face the Dubs. They are so far ahead of the likes of Roscommon that it really isn't relevant. We have all been there, you get some impressive victories against Div 2, 3 or 4 teams and then you meet the Dubs and get taught an almighty lesson. Actually thought the same, we were bossing the game and gave away a bad goal that brought Dublin back into it. Even after that in the 2nd half we missed numerous chances and Dublin won pulling up, but the players didn't seem too despondent, I honestly believe that it was a game they felt they left behind. A big learning curve seems to be one of the cliches/buzz phrases that's used a lot, so I'll join the club and say that was the case! People say you would have to beat Dublin twice to won the All-Ireland, well, as a Tyrone man I hope we chalk of one of those wins on Saturday night. Tir Eoghain Abu!

Both of the games on Saturday are on sky and Sundays games are on rte. Very interesting weekend ahead as each of the games could go either way.

Yeah. Was up there myself and lost count of the amount of terrible wides that Tyrone kicked. I think there were a couple of goal chances in there too.
