Kilkenny legends to face off in Walsh Cup opener

Henry Shefflin's first game in charge of the Galway hurlers will be against Michael Fennelly's Offaly.
The Ballyhale club-mates, who won 18 All-Ireland SHC medals between them with Kilkenny, will face off in the opening round of the Walsh Cup in Ballinasloe on Sunday, January 9 at 2pm. Galway and Offaly are joined in Group A by Antrim and Dublin, with Group B comprising Kilkenny, Laois and Wexford.
The Group A and Group B winners will meet in the final on Sunday, January 30.
