Replying To HB245:  "Fully agree. Jack McCurrin or not, Scotstown would be winning the championship. That's why it's a shame that a Currin man is taking the place of a young lad from Scotstown that played with the club from the age of 6 up. Oh well.
Nobody else stands a chance I'm afraid.
If you combined Clontibret, Ballybay and Inniskeen, they MIGHT have as many registered senior players this year as the Scotstown/Tydavnet/Ballinode/Knocktallon divisional outfit do."
McCurrin. Brilliant

League Dates - 4 Like(s)

Replying To letsgetgoing:  "We know that Robbie Williams is playing in Croke Park on 23 August 2025 but we do not now where our county teams are playing in the league in less than two months time. Not good enough.
Was lucky enought to buy a couple of tickets to support Ireland in the rugby World Cup, well over two years before the event. (Open to everybody)

We do not even know the precise and definitive dates of both All Ireland finals yet.
The division 1 & 2 football league finals were played on 31st March 2024. Why does it take 8 months to inform teams of their next league match when the GAA already know the teams in all four divisions."
The president should take a break from penning his cringe speeches and announce the above.

Replying To 222:  "Andy Moran."
Yes Andy is another great addition. Just listening to what the players are saying. He didn't get us to a minor all Ireland final by chance. Still can't believe he was refused the 20s job this year but their loss is the seniors gain

Listening to Gabriel on northern sound. Loves diverting the blame must be 100 debutants at this stage

Hard luck to the minors, great work done by Brennan and co with this group over the last 4 years. Fantastic year for them. Futures bright with this bunch (and the under 20s in the All Ireland final)

Replying To veterngaa:  "Some of the lads here are already building a statue in cloghan. As for McBennet, if he was good enough he would be on the panel. Too many men here watching club games and don't see training"

Replying To MalsBalls:  "id hold my hands up and admit to this. monaghan is fortunate to have a dominant sport and be reasonably good at it...id prefer to see zero hurling in the county and witness us win a sam maguire in my lifetime rather than humour a small minority and push for progress here"
With the amount of hurling grants coming into the county to buy footballs the county NEEDS the hurling ;-)

Replying To Monaghan37:  "Banty may dip back into the transfer market after today's performance. Corduff on paper are an intermediate team that are coached really well, and no amount of money in the world can change that (whether they like it or not) . They never have been anything and they never will be anything. Average team END OF"
Excellent result in Clontibret. Football was the winner

Watched the hurling on bbc yesterday and thought a shame we don't play it up here at any extent. It can't be too hard to get it going if everyone really wanted it I'd have thought?

Cavan might be in division 2 but I'd rate them as a top 5 contender for one of the worst teams currently in Ireland. Aside from Antrim, there is no better draw for us after this league campaign.

Replying To ScarnaMan1990:  "Fully agree when the going got tough in currin and they started to go downhill after losing main players with damn all coming through he jumped ship to take the easy way out."
Ive heard scotstown people barely mention the name as even they are embarrassed by all of it. Pity thats what the individual and club will be remembered by
