100% agree found that a crazy thing to say without evidence to back it up. And found it even crazier that the admins let it be posted given the amount of innocent enough stuff that they seem to be blocking lately

Prob a difference in playing style … let's be honest .. Brennan has the best club team in the country… not exactly a proven winner in many eyes"
Did he not make them the best team in the country?Very unfair to say that in my opinion. He has to have something about him to win a championship, never mind a Dublin one or an all Ireland at that. While on the subject of Corry did yee not have a load of injuries last year when he was involved and yee were blaming him for it?I don't know what happened for the 2 lads to step away but what I will say is thanks and good luck to them.

Shame the two lads walked away , I am left scratching my head on why they walked away, I don't think anyone knows and it's all left to speculation at this point.

Lots of people on here and facebook love pointing the finger at everything with their own conspiracy theories.

Could be personal reasons why the two lads walked , maybe the drive to Meath every day wasn't ideal with work and family.. could be as simple as that .

Hopefully we will be ready for Carlow

Listened to the We Are Meath podcast this morning and it sounds like Corry and McMahon gave notice on Friday, which suggests they walked. I know there are comments here saying it's done and no point dwelling on it. But hope RB sheds some light on the situation after the match on Sunday, preferably after a good win. For one thing, any coaches coming in either mid-season, or next year, will want to know what went on and whether there's any point walking into the Meath setup given the abrupt recent departures.
If Corry and McMahon has a clash of philosophies with RB and Conor Gillespie then, in a way, that's OK. Better to have everyone pulling in same direction. But there was no word suggesting an unhappy camp, reports on training sounded very positive.
If Corry and McMahon were not happy with CB and felt support wasn't given, then what was it? And what was done to try and convince them?
Hopefully this galvanizes the squad, good management can facilitate that. But one sub-par training session and the player grumbles will start. And news out today that the Leinster semi-finals are out of Croke Park. Would be heartbreaking to miss out on that occasion after all the initial progress this year.

A certain ex Meath player said the 2 lads were left with no option but to walk away...
Make of that what you will.

I would suggest - more than a difference of opinion within the coaching/management setup.

But I dont think it will derail Meath this year tbh.
RB has a big enough backroom team to get over losing the 2 men who left.

It's a disservice to the two lads to say they've walked away due to money reasons. That's not the case. They were well liked by the players. Unfortunately this won't be the end of it and things might get worse before they get better.

Perhaps you can share the precise reasons as to why the 2 coaches have left.

Its not though. you sign a contract to get paid and when payments arent made you walk away or they continue to suck you dry.

This is the closest to the truth out of all posts. They haven't left due to money or another club. A certain individual causing trouble in the background leaking stories to the media, not the first time he has caused trouble. Things will get worse before they get better.

Nobody knows and everyone loves to think they know and have some insight information on everything.

It's always the way with these things , county board gets the blame , one of the selectors gets the blame , manger gets the blame, players get the blame etc etc..

What ever reason why the two lads left it's probably not that exciting

A disaster for Meath football losing the 2 lads.

We clearly don't have the expertise within the county to get Meath back competing for Leinsters and Sam Maguires.

RB done what was needed by outsourcing 2 coaches who by all accounts are excellent and loved by a squad who showed real signs of progression this year.
Shame on the CB or whoever for not honoring what was promised to get these lads involved.

Fair play to the 2 lads for knowing their value and will no doubt walk into any intercounty or club setup in the near future.

Meanwhile Meath GAA remains a basket case. Management team decimated and star player gone for the season. Could be a long road home from Tullamore.

Can't think of anything of note that came out in the media. An accumulation of several small leaks?
