Who will come in for Caulfied? He's a big loss given the other defenders unavailable.Any other changes expected.

I'd expect hickey to move to wing back, moriarty and walsh to come in for the 2 trim lads.

6 down at half time. Started well... But spectacularly imploded. As expected

Game over 2 minutes into the 2nd embarrassment both management and player Louth pushed these to the end last week relegation looking likely

Being pre-emptive of the ensuing onslught on this thread - we all knew this was a possibility, even before xmas. Even after last season's league.

Needless to say the remaining home fixtures are vital to our league campaign. Simple as that.

Some of us knew.

Some on here had their heads buried in the sand and were to delusional enough to think we had improved because we won a mickey mouse competition full of poor teams .

We are in serious trouble.

It really looks like another year of disappointment looms for supporters of Meath football. All that the Tailteann Cup did was paper over the cracks, instead of being progressive and getting a couple of top class coaches in place we ended up with more of the same. We have one of the weakest setups in Div 2, our results will enivatably reflect this.

Unfortunately I think relegation is on the menu, promotion is definitely off the menu.

Win two games might be enough to stay up with 5 points this year…that's a big hopefully might may I add.

Might get lucky if other teams are worse Kildare being beaten Fermanagh tonight isn't great for them could us and them going down

Wasn't at it. Wouldn't be great under lights. And if this trend continues wouldn't have the patience in daylight. Only hope is to beat Kildare and Louth…..neither guaranteed.

I'm one of the ones who obviously has my head buried in the sand! I thought we could win!!!

Now my question would be - why would the lads want to continue with this set up! Tactically we look inept! We have good players out there who are starting to look like they are not good players!!

Mind you we started with 2 wins last year and were lucky to stay in 2 - maybe we can flip that!!! Maybe my head is back in the sand!!!!

Would love to know the thoughts of posters who have ridiculed other people over their concerns with O'Rourke.

We have absolutely no plan up front and an even worse one in our defense. No doubt the excuse of Sigerson will be brandished after today, thank god our players are playing sigerson, they might actually learn a thing or two about attacking patterns and how to set up properly.

Our players looked spent after 50 minutes, we continue to do the same brainless plays every single game and against half decent opposition, we get completely found out. Look at the difference in the set ups today. It is chalk and cheese.

How Dirmuid Moriarty wasn't starting after Fermanagh, I will never understand, but to then not even bring him on at half time....

Louth will beat us in Navan because they have a decent set up and know what to do, just like every team with some half decent footballers. The alarm bells were there when O'Rourke got rid of the only person that had credentials in Paul Garrigan and this is a result. The people that annihilated Andy are the same ones that say give O'Rourke time, time to do what? We are regressing at an alarming rate and it dosen't seem to be stopping any time soon.

Very disappointing, other than Frayne (again) and maybe Adam O'Neill nobody played well. Conor Gray is badly missed. Far too much bad decision making from the midfielders. Still stunned that moriarty isn't starting in this team. A lot of poor selections from O'Rourke, None stranger than Michael Flood playing wing back.

Abysmal performance. Pathetic, just home too angry to even get a snack box. We were clueless, lacked any game plan, any determination and cohesive strategy.
Where do I begin ? Frayne only positive maybe O'Neill rest of team could have been subbed. Bring on walsh to have him playing for a time in corner back. Hoof it anywhere ain't going to save us. Drastic measures need to be taking. Cb have to step in NOW , no more waiting bring in a coach and let him at the team. And at years end we can have the chat that has to happen.

Regressing from what ???
We haven't been competitive at the top level for almost 20 years we have played div 1 football for one year since 2006 and we know how that went but we have people on here that belive that a couple of new coaches is the answer to everything is laughable.
The Tailtean Cup win was our level and has been our level for a long time and a lot of people on here need to realise that ..
Our senior club teams can't compete in leinster so why the massive optimism when it comes to our county team .
We haven't been competitive at u20 or the previous u21 for years we have at minor but that's kids football that's u17 and the majority of them don't make it so people believing that our winning minors are the answer are living with false hope .
We have a lot of good young talented players but every county has them and that's a fact but most of them don't progress into top senior county players .
Meath are a middle of the road team at the moment and are probably over reliant on too many young players coming through at the one time .
