One would assume so.

Do you know the whole story
Maybe he didn't want to continue in the role
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing

It is the Chairperson's choice who makes up the committees and with a new person in the position, it it not unexpected that there is change. John Kavanagh, Peter O'Halloran and Conor Tormay all changed the committees when they took over, so really not a lot to see here.
That previous committee holders would have been happy to continue speaks volumes for their commitment, that changes were made is not a refection on those that were there or those who make the decisions.

It's good to see the new chairman freshen up things. There were people in there for years sitting on committees and not producing much. We have been calling for new blood for years, now that we have it some people are still not happy. It's the chairman's perogative to choose who he wants around him to drive things forward. I wish him well in the year's ahead he has a job of work ahead of himself.

Awe are we a little sensitive
Should he give them a little hug also

Everyone appreciates all of the efforts of all the committees past and present
Nobody does or it in club or county for thanks , they do it because they care and when their time is done the move in and support the next one up, not moan about how they feel

Jason P is a long time involved in the county and would know almost everyone and everything that goes on and has gone on in the last few years. Of course he will make a few mistakes along the way like everyone in life however I believe he will make some great ones too and move the county forward.

I wish him all the best.

PS

A wise man once told me A MAN WHO NEVER MADE A MISTAKE NEVER MADE ANYTHING."
Your obviously close to the man .
Yes people will make mistakes and that is only only human nature . But giving respect to people who have helped put the county board be in the place it Is after a successful year should be done . Just shows no manners and respect to others

It was shown at the convention when all committee members were thanked. For gods sake how many thanks do they want.

I think it's time to close this post. Between downright poor English and over the top b****ing a civil war will kick off within the county. Convention is over, the votes are counted and the next opportunity for change is in roughly eleven and a half months time. In the meantime good luck to all the elected officers and those appointed afterwards. The spring is on its way and the action will move to the playing fields where the few will achieve outright success, a few more will achieve more modest targets but the majority will be disappointed. That's the nature of sport, sixteen clubs will set out in some championships but there can be only one winner, that doesn't mean that fifteen will be distraught as many will be happy with some of their performances. At least I hope so.

It shouldn't be about looking good. What's he to look good for, its about results. New Chairman and new committees. No one got disrespected and if you read John Kavanagh speech at the convention all of his committees were thanked a number of times . Are you on any Club committees? you would know how their run so. Anything for a story.

New chapter, new leader, new committee's.
The approach will be different hoping to achieve better results, (not a slight on previous Chairpersons/committees) if fully supported it can happen off the field, on the filed might take a little longer as the last 4 chairpersons found out.
Why are we so negative to change or so against someone who wants to do thing's differently, at the end of the day the leader has to follow the same rule book as the previous chairpersons.

"If you don't change anything nothing will change! You can not expect to keep doing the same thing but getting different results!"

Lets get behind everything that Meath GAA suggest in 2024 and see what happens. support all the teams as they will need us, support the fundraising in anyway you can, support the committees ("the volunteer's") in what they try to do, support the referees. If you cant support them at least respect them in their efforts, get involved in your club if not already and seek involvement in county committee's in the future.

Change has occurred and cant happen again until at least December 2024, lets make a concerted effort to be positive in 2024.

Well put together but doesn't start well when there's no fixtures yet when they were out earlier last year
