What are lads predictions for the weekend? Group B is going to be interesting with every team still playing for something going into the last game.

SHC Boardsmill V Kilmessan - Hard to call this one but going to go with Kilmessan as think the old boys have enough guile to get them over the line. Between Longwood and the mill to go down.
Killyon V Clann na nGael - Killyon will have something to prove here but too much fire power in Clann na Gael if it turns in to a free fest. Will go with the Athboy men
Longwood V Blackhall Gaels - Longwood should be winning this but not a good setup currently so Blackhall should sneak it.
Trim V Kiltale - Dead Rubber, would imagine both managers will/should ring the changes and give the fringe boys some game time. will go for kiltale but think Trim are favorites for the Jubilee.
Kildalkey V Ratoath Game of the round and think kildalkey will have too much for the men from the east.
Na Fianna CLG V St Peter's - Dunboyne dropping down and easy win for the enfield contingent.

SHC Boardsmill V Kilmessan -Kilmessan should have plenty for the Mill, they look set for the drop.
Killyon V Clann na nGael - Killyon to bounce back now after the last result. Could be a tight game, draw.
Longwood V Blackhall Gaels - Blackhall firing so can't not go with them.
Trim V Kiltale - Won't be able to read much into the result of this. Trim have 2 suspended and Kiltale could bring in a few changes. I'll go Kiltale to win by 4/5 points.
Kildalkey V Ratoath- Tough to call. Think Kildalkey will see this as a chance to get their year going. The Village by 3
Na Fianna CLG V St Peter's - Na Fianna to win. If the Dunboynce that played Kildalkey show up, then could be a tight affair but can't see it.
Looking forward to the business end of the tournament now, can see it ending up being Trim and Kiltale in the final but lets see what happens!

Kilmessan easy win, Mill to stay up, BHG to win and qualify, CNG to beat Killyon and also qualify, Trim to beat Kiltale, Ratoath to lose against Kildalkey but qualify as i think Dunboyne will beat Na Fianna.
Intermediate Dunderry & Kildalkey to make semi finals, with Drumree and Navan to make Qtr

The Senior Championship is some mess, nearly all Group A games dead rubbers, Group B the opposite, probably the only games worth going to. Think Athboy might sneak it vs Killyon. Athboy better forwards and Killyon backs might not be able for them. If the ref lets everything go like he did before Killyon might win it, but if theres plenty of frees its athboys to lose.

BHG and Killyon to squeak it and Kilmessan to win handy

Blackhall must be kicking themselves, bet the two teams who qualified quite comfortably, and just lost out by topping the group by a puck of a ball. A draw would have promoted then to senior A.

For a dead rubber, Kiltale and Trim threw up a good entertaining game. Always had a feeling Kiltale would get the better of them. I see Toher was on the line for Trim yesterday, no Cullen either. Could be huge losses if injured long term

Folks I will put it out there- I'm not a hurling man but I do take an interest in the results and championships
A couple of years back- trim beat Ratoath in a real classic! I thought both would go on to dominate the hurling for a few years give. Their underage structures but that hasn't happened
It seems like like kildalkey and Kiltale are still the teams to beat
2 questions
are Kiltale kildalkey and kilmesan hurling only clubs
Is it too hard to be competitive at Senior in both codes Thanks

Kiltale Hurlers play senior football with Moynalvey and Summerhill. Some kilmessan Hurlers play with Dunsany but not a huge amount and in previous years played with Skryne. Kildalkey play football with Ballivor sometimes.
So hurling probably takes precedence over football in these clubs but players are still playing week in week out as dual players.
I would actually believe the dual clubs have a bigger advantage as they are dealing with the same players and can facilitate them from week to week as management all comes from one club. In separate football and hurling clubs there are ongoing battles over training nights challenge matches league matches etc. Also ratoath and trim have massive picks

I expect both teams to be back in the final with full compliments.

In this millennium, how many times has a dual club won the Jubilee Cup? Kiltale, Killyon, Kildalkey, Kilmessan.
All have regular dual players. Doesn't appear to be a major disadvantage playing for a football only club and hurling only club!

When were dogs allowed to run free in Páirc Tailteann? Where does it all end? Will we see lads bringing in their pet horses? Some stewards spend their time being over zealous with rules (not wanting kids on the pitch at half time)! Are certain people free to do what they want? Cop yourselves on Páirc Tailteann!

Random thought . To make the senior championship a bit more entertaining should they consider a 10 team championship. 2 groups of 5 drawn randomly , top spot in each group secures semi final spot , 2 and 3 secures quarter finals (2nd in one group plays 3rd in other etc..) and 4th + 5th both play off relegation games . Thoughts ?

I am not disputing anything you suggest except that others will point to the 5 team groups meaning that one team will be idle in each round, this doesn't sit well with those who want the championship over as soon as possible. Those people don't appear to realise that a club's 'free Sunday/weekend' could, with a little imagination be used to play other games be they hurling or football.
