Host clubs are not collecting at the 'gate' this year. They are promised a percentage of the online sales back from the county board later. So it falls on the county board to supply linesmen.

What's the story with intermediate football now in regards to quarter finals, 10 teams left so obviously preliminary qfs but how are they deciding who plays who, and does that mean quarter finals not for 4 weeks. apologies if this info somewhere else just haven't come across it Footnote (Meath) - Posts: 67 - 13/09/2021 17:34:34 2380348 Link 1 |

Isn't it admission by pre-purchased online tickets only.

If all tickets are not sold online you can pay at the gate of the surplus that is left. thelutch (Meath) - Posts: 1073 - 14/09/2021 15:34:30 2380647 Link 1 |
Intermediate Relegation draw Meathball (Meath) - Posts: 140 - 15/09/2021 11:49:04 2380852 Link 0 |
Would it be fair to say Kilmainham, Syddan and Moylagh would be the weakest 3? Only two of those at most will be relegated, not the fairest way of going things but I struggle to see other options given 3 need to go. St. Pats and Ballinlough are unlucky that one of them will get the chop Belt (Meath) - Posts: 272 - 15/09/2021 12:17:51 2380861 Link 0 |
Would totally agree, syddan have been very lucky with draw. Talking about draws, trim have come out right side of quarter /semi draw. They are worthy favourites but path to final a lot easier with duleek, rathkenny, Oldcastle, nobber in other side of draw

St Pats have won 1 c'ship game in 3 years, a relegation final last year so no more than the other four teams are here on merit. Any team being drawn out in that first fixture was being royally shafted though. 3 into 5 was never going to run smoothly. What's a bigger issue here is the scheduling of these games - weekend of 9th/10th October. Seems crazy to keep teams hanging around another month before kicking these off! Is that scheduling true? What's the issue with the weekend after next?

According to an article on Hoganstand these are the dates alright. Have heard mention of Cup competitions having to be played off first which is bizarre considering they were effectively pre-season challenge matches! The_Ripper (Meath) - Posts: 183 - 16/09/2021 14:40:24 2381099 Link 0 |
Am I correct in saying that there will be three relegated from Intermediate next year as well? If that's the case, will they revert to three groups of 6 next year and just relegate the teams that finish bottom of each group? Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1374 - 17/09/2021 08:44:19 2381242 Link 7 |

What's the story with the randomness of the fixtures for the next few weeks? Has their been any explanation given for this? Some knockout and relegation matches in the Intermediate and Senior Championships are on this weekend? Doesn't make any sense to break clubs momentum by having a month break. But then again the Meath GAA seem to be pretty useless when it comes or organizing fixtures. They can't make a plan for two weeks in advance, never mind have fixtures mapped out from the start to the end of a competition. Also the Meath GAA website is not the clearest or easiest site to figure out. Could have been made a lot more simple. BigJoe14 (Meath) - Posts: 998 - 20/09/2021 16:43:15 2381906 Link 0 |
