Replying To rubia:  "Very wrong considering he played his best for ratoath in 2019 when they won the keegan and subsequently doesn't get played by the meath manager . lots of players including Seamus mattimoe/eamon/Andrew tormay/damo carroll are surpassed by a flawed system in meath where a manager is picking a team based on if they have an S and C degree and not if they can play football. Go to a club game and you will see the best players on the pitch are not in the county starting team. Manager is picking players that look like inter County players but don't play like them."
That's why I said hasn't hit those levels for Meath. If I remember rightly Andy did play him in some of the pre covid 2020 games and he wasn't playing well at all. I would suggest Eamon Wallace's not consistently playing for Meath has more to do with him not playing GAA for half the year in 2019 and 2020 than him being short shifted by a manager who has consistently picked him in the past. Also, you say Andy picks the team based on S&C and not football. If that is the case then I'd suggest Eamon Wallace would be picked ahead of Bryan McMahon or Joey Wallace as he is bigger, more powerful and would be a faster sprinter but yet he is behind them so I think your logic is flawed.

if you look back to their minor year together the exact same issue of athletics v Football commitment arose.
id agree with Leitrim..Whatever faults andy may have...I don't think he has a pre conceived notion on how a footballer might look....but its all down to commitement for him

Agree with this. Also just to add Damian Carroll was cast aside because mod prior to Andy coming in, was approached to return and said after that experience he had no interest in returning.

Nope. Just stating facts. I have nothing personal against the man. He was not is not and never could be a ic manager, I'd love to manage Meath , but I should never be given the opportunity, just like mod shouldn't have been. I don't blame the man, he was totally out of his depth, I have always and always will blame those who appointed him. Btw as a bracks man I know exactly what I'm talking about
