A draw St colmcilles tend to blow hot and cold, the Gales have been luke warm, in reality bottlers!! Can see the Gaels win and could be a huge win, but not for the long haul again!!

Replying To Bear10: "Summerhill V Moynalvey - Summerhill. by 4 Curraha V Wolfe Tones - Curraha by 1 Don/Ashbourne V Navan O'Mahonys - Don/Ashbourne by 2 Na Fianna V Seneschalstown - Senechalstown by 3 Ratoath V Nobber - Ratoath by 6 Simonstown V Skryne - Simonstown by 3 St Colmcille V Gaeil Colmcille - Gael Colmcille by 6 Dunboyne V Dunshaughlin - Dunboyne by 3" Summerhill V Moynalvey. Moynalvey appear to be going well but need goals to win and depend on hard runing of O'Sullivan. Summerhill will know this and will win - 6 points Summerhill
Curraha V Wolfe Tones - Tones beat Scrin by 2 and they got tanked by Ashbourne. Form looks very average now and on that basis Curraha have a chance. Tricky opener for Wolfe Tones. Tones by 3 but could be tighter
Don/Ash V O'Mahonys - Difficult to call this. Ashbourne beat Tones in last League game but they have struggled last few years. O'Mahonys are havng to rebuild. Two poor teams and hard to call it . Ashbourne by 3
Na Fianna V Seneschalstown - Na Fianna can be good at times but when it comes to the crunch the big teams seem to expose their flaws. Seneschalstown are poor at the back but I expect this one will be tight for good while. Na Fianna by 2
Ratoath V Nobber. Will the Wallace boys be playing, if so this could be a turkey shoot. If not expect Nobber to stay with Ratoath for a good bit of this game. Ratoath to win by 8
St Colmcilles V Gaeil Colmcille. Kells have been to semi-finals 5 out of the last 6 years. Always the bridesmaid but never the bride. However Kells are playing well and go well always in the Group stages. Colmcilles have good forwards but Banty can be marked and they are ropey to say the least still at the back. Cant see Cilles turning the Kells men. A lot to go wrong for Kells and lot to go right for Cilles to win. Gaeil Colmcille by 6
Simonstown V Scrin - Big game for both teams. Scrin have been poor last couple of years, especially last year. Seem to capitulate easily in matches. Simonstown perhaps unlucky not to be in last years final after conceeding goal at the death. First round is tricky. Expect this to be a real dog fight but probably go with Simonstown by 3 to win
Dunboyne v Dunshaughlin - Dunshaughlin were found out last year by Simonstown in 9 point defeat. Their midfiled simply are not mobile enough and their marquee forwards are young. They do have some very good players and their defense is quick on the break and can score. Dunboyne also were found out last year but they have much more seasoned fire power up front and are probably better at midfield. Look this will be close for long periods I suspect. Just have to probably tip Dunboyne to win by 2

Well the Great Glenny is back read and take note !!!!
Summerhill V Moynalvey. Moynalvey people might not like to hear but Summerhill might not like it more. Moynalvey to cause the 1st minor shock of the Championship
Curraha V Wolfe Tones - Curraha seem to be improving with most of Tones regulars getting on but think Tones have enough
Don/Ash V O'Mahonys - OMahonys are not anywhere near where they should be Don/Ash flatter to deceive but will win
Na Fianna V Seneschalstown - Two also rans with Yellow Fruze hardly raising a gallop Na Fianna to win their one and only game
Ratoath V Nobber. Ratoath in a bit of turmoil with the decision to let Davy Byrne off but no problems here with a Nobber side with I reckon be Intermediate next year
St Colmcilles V Gaeil Colmcille. Interesting..... I felt Kells may have gone over the hill after coming close last number of years but they should have enough for a youthful struggling Cills.
Simonstown V Scrin - Big match Skryne....... are improving on a disastrous 2018 when they stayed senior but havent improved enough to win this one. North Navan for me
Dunboyne v Dunshaughlin; Dunboyne if they get their act together have a real chance for Keegan Cup. Spured on (I hope) by Ratoaths win last year if Dunboyne have any Parish pride and a few of them will they could go all the way. Dunshaughlin will battle and metinks will gain a point.

Personally looking forward to this years championship. The cut back from 18 teams to 16 is great . To never have to suffer watching Longwood vs rathkenny again in the Meath senior championship is something I am thankful for. The championship looks a much better one now . My prediction is that it will be the winners of group D dunboyne or kells who go on to win it out and senchalstown to get relegated .
Here are my predictions for the first round Group A : Wolfe tones vs curraha . Wolfe tones over the last decade have been a very bland team . A ready salted team . No excitement of challenging for a keegan but also never really going to get relegated either . An ageing team and one on the decline I think they could be in trouble here with up and coming curraha . Curraha having got out of the group last year will prove to be tricky to beat . Curraha have a great young team with the likes of James mcentee leading the charges . Unsure if they have a full team to pick from. This will be a hard fought contest but I fancy curraha. Curraha by 5
Moynalvey vs summerhill This could be a tricky fixture for summerhill . Moynalvey will look to run summerhill into the ground with hard working wing forwards such as Cian O'Sullivan and John Duggan . This will be a tight game but I just fancy summerhill Verdict summerhill by 1
Group B Navan vs Ashbourne With the rising age of this navan team going up every year . It won't be long until they field a team in the annual all priests over 75s 5 aside . I think personally navan will be well set up for this game and if their very own Benjamin button Niall mckeighe is on top of his game I see only a navan win. Ashbourne however will come looking to get the win as they aim to gain promotion to the Dublin senior football championship for next season . Verdict navan by 2
Na fianna vs senchalstown Na fianna should win here . But you never know what na fianna team will show up. Senchalstown are a bit like Newcastle United . Once top strikers graham geraghty and Alan sheerar left they never managed to recruit good enough replacements . With no disrespect to senchalstown the only thing they might win Saturday is the coin toss . If the likes of Ethan Devine and seanie Martin are available there will only be one winner. With Shane Walsh set to shoot the lights out . Na fianna by 7
Group C Simonstown vs skryne Simonstown go into to this one after 2 poor results in the league but will be looking to have there last dance with Sean Tobin hopefully kicking them to victory . Verdict simonstown by 6
Ratoath vs nobber Ratoath have a very young hungry team and have such star forwards as Joey Wallcott and eamon Wallace. I think the only hope nobber have of winning this is is if ratoath decide to go down the pub and watch united instead . Verdict ratoath by infinity
Group D Kells vs st. Colmcilles What is the difference between 15 Rottweilers and kells ? You can train 15 Rottweilers to discipline themselves . Lar simione wall is here to set up another tactical masterclass with his kells team as they aim to reach another keegan semi final . I personally think that kells will be too strong for this st . colmcilles team who are relying on graham Reilly Verdict kills by 8
Dunboyne vs dunshaulin. The dunboyne team which is reminiscent of the Real Madrid galacticos have lots of star players but have under achieved with only one keegan will look to go on to win it this year . Dunboyne are far superior and it is hard to know will they be amble right physically impose themselves on dunboyne. Dunboyne by 8

I see Campion scored 4 points today, 2 of them 45's. Great to see him back after a brutal injury, an impressive rookie season last year. Also Mickey Newman back, Seamus Lavin back. Good to see injuries clearing up. In terms of this weeks results it went to script really bar maybe Senchelstown winning and Tones winning so easily

Well a few right and a few wrong, some rare enough results this weekend, Dunboyne's demolishing of Dunshaughlin certainly raised eyebrows as did the Tones big win over Curraha. Ratoath won well as expected although I wouldn't have foreseen that margin of victory. Seneschalstown deserve credit and will be boosted by their victory as will Don/Ash. Kells has a right old battle as did Summerhill and Moynalvey and Colmcille's can take heart from their efforts as can Skryne who came back from a seemingly lost cause before Simonstown put the shoe down again, oh how I wish Shane O'Rourke had another year of inter county left in him!!! On the down side results would suggest Nobber and Curraha could struggle this year, perhaps Dunshaughlin and O'Mahony's too, all four need results next time out to avoid being cut adrift. Hopefully by round two a more sizeable crowd will be allowed in to watch.
