No idea. Heard a new one was coming out with more of the old classic box design. Current jersey still at full price so maybe it'll be new year?

Must be a rule that every 3rd or 4th Meath jersey has to incorporate some form of the old box design. The 2004-ish jersey had the boxes on the sides, and our 2013 one had a checkered pattern but without the yellow lines.

Devenish are ending their sponsorship? When was that announced? That would be a big blow.

The hurling sponsor has ended. Not Devenish.

Why can't both teams have the same sponsor? Previously it could be argued that the hurlers were the responsibility of the Hurling Board but it is long gone. Are we trying to earn on the double so-to-speak?

There is nothing in this for meath in revenue terms .....all proceeds go to O Neills .....it's not as if Meath benefits from a change of jersey ,although the retailers in Meath do get a benefit .( stay with the independents )

Royaldunne, for a fella who claims to be such a big fan of Meath I find it disappointing that all the members of your family do not have the appropriate jerseys.

A REAL fan would have the teams jersey.

You better get on to Santy for a full set of new jerseys.

Ah, how good a fan we are is not measured by the currentness of the jerseys.

My daughters 8 birthday and she had a growth spurt in last 2 years so while she had the jersey she needed a new one and got it on O'Neil site with her name on back. As a father of 6 ranging in age from adulthood to a 3yo, it's a constant turn over of tops from one wanting the pink one to one wanting yellow one (the recently purchased one) and another wanting the training top it's a annual turn around.

Said in jest Royaldunne. I am eagerly awaiting the new jersey.

Too pricey to be clothing the family in new shirts every 2 years with the growing kids do.

Yes there is.
County board owns the image rights.
They get paid for every item produced and sold that has the Meath crest on it.
This is why every county in Ireland created new copyrighted crests about 15/20 years ago.
Anyone can use the old crest without paying royalties.

The GAA gets also paid for every item produced that has the GAA logo on it.
That is why most clubs training jerseys do not have the official GAA logo on it as it adds an extra €7 (I think) to the cost of every item.

Sure clubs get a kickback from O'Neills for every item of club gear sold and it is the same for the county boards.

Oh I know that it was in jest.
But bloody hell the price of them is ridiculous. Full whack for what will turn out to be a old jersey in January

Would love to go back to the classic kepak look. Proper collar up type of stuff. Meath Dna and all that jazz. Let the ball in the edge of the square and test out the full back line
