Replying To Furlong1949: "Real pity. J Wallace and O Coilean, would be real options on the inside forward line. Injuries are mounting up. We had very few injuries last year other then a few like Niall kane missed whole championship and nearly most of the league. So if the rumours are right we could be down Lavin , Harnan, S McEntee and Devine for Tyrone game. Harnan gone for a few months , might be back end of league , so should lavin. Dont know regards S McEntee. They are all first team starters. The first 3 games , 2 at home could decide our league campaign. Ronan Ryan sud replace lavin and kane would be best option in my view to replace Harnan. But still lavin and Harnan are quality defenders. We will.miss Devine height and atleticism on 40. I hope this isnt a sign of things to come , a year of injuries. But those 3 first games especially v Donegal and Mayo are massive, could make or break our league campaign." Anyone know the situation with Niall Kane?

Any news on Alan Forde, before he did his cruciate in McEntee first year in my view he was one of our best players in that league. He would be a player we lack , a hard working wing forward who can get up and down the field. He plays the kind of Paul Galvin / Brian Dooher role. Im not saying he is as good as Galvin or Dooher , he just plays that role. He is only 26 , hasnt played a championship game for Meath since 2012 when he was 19 year old when he put in man of the match performance v kildare scoring a few points from play and played in 2012 leinster final. He has only played one league campaign that was McEntees first year. He has suffered badly with injuries. I think when I saw him play he was the best in the county in that kind of half forward who can be defensive and also link backs and forwards. Forde also could be option at half back. In McEntees first year in Bynre cup he played wing back and was excellent. But for me his best position is half forward.
Paddy kennelly and Niall kane are on the panel. I thought they both wud start in louth game , maybe next game. Kane was outstanding in Ballybofey in league in Feb v Donegal. J McEntee D Keoghan N Kane gave an exhibition of half back play in that game. For me first 60 mins v Donegal in Ballybofey in league in Feb was the best football Meath have played under McEntee , it was quality intelligent mature football . Kane for me would be my first choice to start in place of Harnan. Hes still only 23.
Kennelly was excellent at midfield last year at end of league. He came in v Down and made a big impact at centrefield. And was excellent v louth in last league game and v excellent Westmeath in Bynre cup at center field. He played v longford and actually one of few players who played decent enough scoring two points from play from midfield. He missed Tyrone game with injury. And went travelling last year. He is still 25 or 26 , himself and B Conlon would be real options to partner Menton at midfield.

Totally agree, he brought that bit of aggressive play (within the rules) that I think we missing for a long while. Him and Ben Brennan on the half forward line would really add steel to the team. Even for 35 mins

Does anyone else feel that €120 euro for a season ticket is a bit pricey? You'd really want to be taking a big gamble to pay it unless you were committing to go to a minimum of ALL LEAGUE GAMES, hoping for a leinster final and a super 8's run. Kids asking for new Meath jerseys too could be an expensive month. 120 would be perfect in my eyes if all meath leinster championship games were included but only our game with wexford/wicklow will be included.

Does it not give you access to all club championship games? If so, sure that's good value surely?

Replying To Crinigan: "Does it not give you access to all club championship games? If so, sure that's good value surely?" I think that's the "club" season ticket.
As far as I recall it was €200 last year for the club one allowing entry to all club games for your chosen club - I didnt realise the county ticket had risen to €120 as I hadn't got it in recent years.
