Left of own accord or dropped off it.

Midfielder from Nobber - Murtagh - would he be an option?"
I don't think he was good enough for inter county football to be honest. Good in the air and very tall but his mobility and ball skills were way off for inter county standard. His club football wouldn't help him either I would have thought. Clonard for all the time he has played with them have been struggling in the junior championship and division 4. Club football was often finished for him when he came back from Meath so he was hardly playing at all between club and county, just training most of the time. He is a player who I would have thought would have beniffeted massively from a divisional Club side like they have in Kerry, so he could get consistent club games against top senior club teams. I wouldn't be of the opinion that he should have transferred to a neighbouring senior club like Na Fianna as that is not the solution, you should only be allowed transfer club if you are moving county.

Replying To Furlong1949:  "Players called up to the Meath panel. These players have been definatly called up
Donal Lenihan, Jack O Connor, David Toner , Oisin O Brien , Brian Conlon , Paddy Kennelly , Jordan Morris , Thomas Murtagh , Matthew Costello, Caolach Halligan and Harry Hogan.

Players dropped from Meath panel
eg Marcus Brennan , Adam Flanagan , Shane Glynn and Owen McDonnell.

Just regards Marcus Brennan he is no longer part of the playing panel , but he is now part of the goalkeeper coaching team.
I think player people might not know is Harry Hogan. He is longwood Under 21 goalie and Dundalk under 19 soccer goalie. Clearly Gary Rodgers would have drawn him to the attention of the management. He is very highly thought of in Dundalk. And this how Donegal found Patton , who is one best gaa goalies in the country now. Patton was a soccer goalie with Derry City, he was brought onto Donegal panel and he became an excellent gaelic football goalie. Hogan is probaly replacing Marcus Brennan as a choice for goalie.

PS Any news on Ruari O Coilean or Alan Forde and is Ronan Jones definately staying in the US next year? That would be a pity if that is true , he would be a real option at midfield. But Conlon and kennellys return will give more choices to midfield."
Thought Kennelly played well in his brief Meath career (think it was 2018) before injury and then he went travelling , together with Conlon may help bolster one of our weakest areas. Lenihan the Wallace brothers and O Coilean would be welcome additions to our forwards. Dont know enough about the others you mention to comment, however its positive to see management looking at new blood and hopefully some can stake a claim in O Byrne Cup.

In my honest opinion it would take a very warped person to go to the bother of finding someone from here on social media and then to start posting things from my social media on here, that been said I took it until my 11yo daughter was brought into it. That was creepy in the most appalling way.
Anyway feel free to argue with me on any point, and I will do the same in return. But I don't go down the personal road."
Talking when you should be listening Dunne..

Replying To royaldunne:  "are the same person/persons One of them had trolled me on Twitter and announced it here to great annoyance of many posters. They are not Meath people he is ONE PERSON or 2 only . It actually got to the stage on my twitter account when my 11 yo was doxed here for what she won in another sport. I actually had to report it to Gardaí as it had become too much. I understand you are not long on here and weren't when this happened, but to see this account name resurrected again on this forum is very disheartening. Take on me all anyone wants. But to go to the effort of finding me on social media and then brining my child's name on here was way to much. Wouldn't you agree???"
To go personal is a low blow alright royaldunne, keep the spirits up and ignore the poster or posters which I'm sure you probably do. There seems to be plenty of cheerleaders on here for people like that though, which is wrong.

Div.1 fixtures are out. I must say very mouth watering prospects.
Meath v Tyrone: Omagh
Meath v Mayo: Navan
Meath v Kerry: Killarney
Meath v Galway: Navan
Meath v Dublin: Croke Park
Meath v Monaghan: Clones
Meath v Donegal: Navan
Not in that particular order. I have to say it worked out favourable in my view, and a lot of speculation could come of the idea of playing Mayo/Galway at home, and how both of those teams would be very much out of the way geographically, in an uncharted "what kind of a place is this" stadium in Navan. It will have that mystifying effect. Sooner or later Meath will have to buck the trend and beat Donegal also, I personally believe we would have beaten them 2/3 times in the last 3 seasons only for lacking game management and a bit of edge aka; not being cute enough and being smart enough to take out major opposition players and play the clock. Kerry in Killarney will be difficult. Tyrone in Omagh will be difficult. Monaghan in Clones is another enigma game. There isn't a great history between Meath/Monaghan despite sharing a border. I look forward to that game. I know Dublin is the final game or one of the last games in Croke Park of our league and depending on our campaign up until that point we might get closer to them than in the '19 Leinster final. All-in-all a lot to look forward to, in my view if we are to win 3/4 games as some of you think, Galway/Mayo/Donegal have to be definite target matches. In saying that, this Meath team is facing perennial division one pedigree in every team here... they have to go after every game on its merits. History be damned, we've no right to be winning any of these matches on reputation anymore and every win is massive.

Maximum points from first two games would be sweet. We owe Tyrone, know em well at this stage and shouldn't fear a trip to Omagh. Mayo will be eaten alive in pairc tailteann.

Hopefully you right. Think we have to win 2 out of 3 of first games.

Sweet jesus. I have seen some sad things in my time, but someone creating a few accounts to talk football on the hoganstand and worse, accidentally posting from the wrong account about himself, this might just top the lot. Delete your account(s) and get help
