Round 1 of the Meath Minor Football Championship gets underway tonight.

Delany Cup holders and recent Division 1 league winners St. Colmcilles have home advantage against Navan O’Mahony’s. Beaten league finalists Dunboyne entertain St. Ultan's/Cortown Gaels.

In Division 2 a large crowd is expected for the meeting of neighbours Killary Emmets and St. Michael's/Nobber. Killary defeated Simonstown in the recent Division 2 league final. Division 3 FL winners Gaeil Colmcille take on Na Fianna. Dunshaughlin won this title last year and they begin their defence away to Trim.

Division 4 league winners Clonard get their Division 3 campaign up and running at home to Clann na nGael. 

Kilmainhamwood won the Division 5 FL title without Milo Stafford. The county minor should be in action tonight when they take on Walterstown in the opening round of Division 4.
