On a sunny evening with conditions perfect for hurling the teams served up a very entertaining game with goals aplenty. Wind assisted Tones held the advantage for most of the first half and led at half time 3-8 to 2-4.

Brian Carr was too scorer with a personal rally of 4 01. Highly effective performances from veterans Donal Curtis and David Coleman contributed massively to the Tones cause.
