Former Meath great Mickey Cole guided Ratoath to their first Meath Senior Hurling Championship title in 61 years. In what was one of the best finals seen in years the men in Blue and Gold withstood a late comeback from Trim and ran out winners 2-15 to 1-16.
An improving Kilmessan and last year's winners Kildalkey made it to the semi finals. Kiltale and Killyon reached the last eight. Longwood made their own bit of history by beating Na Fianna in the first ever Senior B championship final.
