Sean Floyd emigrated in 1951 and soon joined the John Mitchels GAA club in Liverpool. He won a total of 15 medals with the Mitchels and was good enough to line out for Lancashire at senior level. Sean, who came home to Ireland every year for the All-Ireland final, played for the Mitchels for over 40 years all told and the club colours adorned his coffin as he made his final journey.
