From Georgian Close and originally from Pearse Park, Jim Lambe was well-known in sporting circles in Drogheda, having lined out for Newtown Blues, Pearse Park Rangers and Drogheda United. Throughout his life thereafter, he was an avid follower of gaelic football, soccer and horse racing.
