Ned McEnteggart of Castlering, Knockbridge, passed away on Wednesday June 23rd, 2010. Originally from Philipstown, he grew up with a love of farming and football. Ned first played with De La Salle in Dundalk and went on to represent Kilkerley Emmets, winning many medals. In 1940, he won an All-Ireland minor championship medal with Louth. Eight years later, he collected a Leinster SFC souvenir as the Wee County ruled the province.
