Maureen Lynch, Green Road, Dunmahon passed away on December 5th, 2015 at the age of 96. The local Geraldines GFC was a big part of her life and she was involved in running and organising the club's popular Parish Week. Maureen's family is steeped in Geraldines history. Her brothers Ronan and Roger and her father John all had the distinction of lining out for both club and county. Meanwhile, her uncle, Joe Donnelly, starred on the Louth team that won the All-Ireland in 1913. A keen GAA follower all her life, Maureen also played and coached camogie and was actively involved in the formation of the local team.
