Ardee man Peter McArdle passed away on Saturday, September 17th, 2016 at the age of 92. He was a keen follower of both football and hurling all his life, supporting all the local teams - Sean McDermotts, Westerns, Glyde Rangers and of course St Marys. He was an ardent Marys man and, living in Sliabh Breagh, was in close proximity to Pairc Mhuire. Peter also followed Louth teams closely and had a great knowledge of all the players involved with the Wee County.
