Kathleen Lynch (nee Woods) was born in Kilkerley in 1933 and lived in Rathmolyon, County Meath at the time of her death. She was goalkeeper for the Kilkerley camogie team in her teens and 20s and won a host of honours, including twelve county medals and four provincial titles. Such an important member of the team was Kathleen that her flights home from England were paid for to make sure she didn't miss a match.
