Nigel Monaghan from Lucan, Dublin died suddenly on March 23rd, 2017, aged 51. His death caused widespread sadness in the St Josephs club as the Dublin native made a massive impact during his short stint playing with the Joes. He starred at centre half back on the 1990 Louth IFC winning team and will be remembered across Dromiskin, Darver and beyond as a ferocious competitor on the field of play and a very likeable family man off it.
