Peter McArdle of Lower Faughart, Dundalk was born in 1928 and passed away on November 6th, 2013. Sport was a big part of everyday life in the McArdle household and he travelled the length and breadth of the country to see his brothers, sons, daughters and grandchildren participating in various games, including GAA, soccer and athletics. In order to ensure that his eleven children had an outlet for their sporting prowess, Peter was actively involved in the establishment of Naomh Brid.
