Patricia McMahon of Lennonstown Manor, Redbarns Road and formerly of Marian Park, passed away on November 15th, 2013 after unexpectedly taking ill. Patricia was an outstanding sportswoman throughout her life, most notably as a distinguished camogie player with her local Kilkerley club. She would go on to participate in marathon running, long-distance cycling and trekking all over the world, raising hundreds of thousands of euro for various charities. Even as a married mother of six, Patricia continued to represent Kilkerley over a number of decades, winning many Louth championships and also representing her beloved Wee County. Kilkerley Camogie Club provided a guard of honour at her funeral.
