Armagh ladies star Aimee Mackin has described the response she’s received to being named Ladies Football Senior Player for 2020 as “very surreal and overwhelming”.
Mackin also picked up the Goal of the Year award while her sister Blaithin was named on the Ladies Football Team of the Year.
Speaking to BBC Radio Ulster's Sportsound Extra Time, Mackin said messages of congratulations have flooded in from the local community since winning the awards.
"The amount of messages I have got from people around our local area is very surreal and overwhelming," she the Orchard County forward.
"I'm very grateful for each and every one of them."
She added: "It was definitely a very proud moment for my family. Blaithin deserved every bit of it as well. She had a phenomenal year last year. She's still young as she's only getting better."Tweet
