There are four new additions to the Clare hurling panel ahead of the defence of their Allianz League and All-Ireland titles.
Manager Brian Lohan has drafted in Ian McNamara (Killanena), Daithí Lohan (Wolfe Tones, Shannon), Shane Woods (Inagh/Kilnamona) and Rian Considine (Cratloe). The only two departures are Sixmilebridge’s Séadna Morey and Paul Flanagan of Ballyea who have both retired from inter-county duty.
Lohan has also freshened up his backroom team with former Galway hurling star Rory Gantley replacing Tipperary native Shane Hassett, who has stepped down due to study commitments, as a coach. Gantley, whose late father Finbarr also represented Galway with distinction, was involved with the Tubber team which contested last year's Clare IHC final, while he also coached Kilmallock to Limerick SHC success in 2021.
