Kevin Maguire has been announced as the new Westmeath senior football captain.
Maguire takes over the role from Kieran Martin who had been Jack Cooney's captain for the past two years.
The appointment is huge honour for the Caulry GAA, with Maguire being the first man from his club to be named senior county captain.
Westmeath start their Allianz League campaign with a visit to neighbour Meath this Sunday.
