Mayo supporters travelling to New York for Sunday week’s Connacht SFC quarter-final have been asked to gather in Times Square for a photo and to celebrate the Mayo community both at home and abroad.

Celebrating 120 years in business, Mayo GAA sponsors Portwest will have a billboard in Times Square next week and are inviting all Mayo fans to join them on Saturday, April 6 at 6pm at the iconic New York location.

There will be free match merchandise available between 2pm and 5.30pm in the nearby Connolly’s Bar. When Mayo last played New York in the Connacht SFC in 2019 at Gaelic Park, thousands of their supporters descended on Times Square on the eve of the game, and it’s hoped a similar-sized crowd will gather there again on Saturday week.
