John Fintan Daly says he has applied for the vacant Cork senior football manager's job.

The Knocknagree man, who guided Duhallow to back-to-back Cork SFC titles in 1990 and '91, and Cork to an All-Ireland U21 success in 1994, confirmed to C103 Radio that he's in the running to succeed Ronan McCarthy.

“All I will say is that I have applied for the job. There’s a process there now, they’ve a lot of good candidates and I’m just there in the queue. I’ve put my CV in, maybe I’ve something to offer, maybe I don’t. It’s up to the county board from here, and that’s all I’ll say," Daly said after Knocknagree's Cork SFC win over Bishopstown yesterday.
