Four Masters are the 2024 fonaCab Ulster Minor Football Tournament champions following their 1-10 to 2-4 victory over Cavan Gaels at the St Paul’s GAA grounds on New Year’s Day.
Pipped at the post by Dungiven 12 months ago, the Donegal town outfit made amends after their Cavan counterparts pushed them all the way. It was level pegging, 2-1 to 1-4, at half-time after a goal from man of the match Conor McCahill was sandwiched between majors from Joshua Shehu and Cormac Crotty for Cavan Gaels.
Finn Crowe fisted the Gaels in front eight minutes after the restart, but three unanswered points in a six-minute spell from Callum McCrea, Oisín Doherty and McCahill ensured Four Masters left Belfast with the Jimmy McConville Cup on this occasion.
