Offaly football fans will have a rare opportunity to see both their men’s and ladies teams in action on the same billing this Sunday.
It comes after the ladies’ Lidl National League Division 3 Round 5 clash with neighbours Kildare was switched from Bretland Park, Clara to Glenisk O’Connor Park where it will form part of a double-header with the men’s Allianz League Division 3 Round 4 encounter with Cavan. The ladies game throws in at 11.45am, with the men’s fixture following at 2pm.
It will be the Offaly ladies team’s first outing at the county grounds since 2020 when they played Limerick in an All-Ireland intermediate championship tie that was played behind-closed-doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They usually play their home games at Bretland Park which was previously the home of Clara GAA.
