Ray Keane – younger brother of former Kerry and Clare senior football boss Peter – is set to be named as the new Cork U20 football manager.
The Echo is reporting that the Caherciveen native will be proposed as Ray O’Mahony’s successor at next Tuesday night’s county board meeting. O’Mahony’s two-year term came to an end following Cork’s Munster final defeat to Kerry last April.
Keane cut his coaching teeth with his adopted Éire Óg in Ovens before leading St Finbarr’s back to the Cork PSFC in 2018. He served as a Cork senior selector in 2022 before guiding Aghabullogue to last year’s Cork PIFC final, which they lost to Kilshannig after a replay.
