Gearoid to miss first few matches.

Cavan captain Gearoid McKiernan is set to miss the early rounds of the national football league due to a knee injury. This is bad news all round. I knew about his injury but thought the way he worked with it he would be back. As the boss say's he will give him time to recover that's the views of an intelligent and respectful manager. Not playing him just for the sake of it. The McKenna cup might give us a chance to see what we have to replace him for the first rounds of the league. Speedy recovery Gearoid. so maybe that explains why Gearoid was not at his best in the championship. perhaps he should have been allowed to get it seen to sooner. How are we going to cope in the league without,Givney,McKeirnan,Mackey,Keating. 4 very experienced and influential players ? . Tell you what after watching the lads last night the moral is very high everyone pulling their weight and Gearoid working hard on his recovery. All will be good. Happy Xmas to the nice people. Flipping hell last week he was firing on all cylinders so this is a surprise if he is. Maybe one might think he has with others but a panel of under 30 players had to be named for the McKenna cup so this could well be where the negative posts are coming from. Some that were in are involved with other teams?? I would say the only way Ray has gone would be of his own choice so I will put a question mark here until I know for sure. I am surprised regarding Ray there must be some reason for it for he was a stand out player this year for Lavey. When I spoke to him last week he was rearing to go so I just don't know what to say. I am not the manager or a selector and I have nothing to do with the team so I would not be privy to inside information when it comes to these calls.
