What a joke temple port going into div 2 with a team that won numerous div 1 titles that will do them no good only bring their top players down they should b in doc 1 I herd their management team told county board they had only 16 players but I was at games years a go and they had maybe 17 players but did not want to play in div 2 then tonight 21 players out their only fooling them selves no good for templeport future if they accept lesser divisions just to win cups Tempot (Cavan) - Posts: 31 - 04/11/2016 20:45:06 1931661 Link 0 |
You should support your club no matter what division they are in..

Tempot (Cavan) - Posts:18 - 04/11/2016 20:45:06 1931661 Maybe the club felt they are not good enough for Div 1 for if last nights match was anything to go by they could well have been beaten for the score flattered them in the end. Ballinagh had at least 5 clear cut goal chances in the second half but failed to finish them off. The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4601 - 05/11/2016 13:49:29 1931838 Link 0 |
Any thoughts/predictions for the under 21 championships now? O'raghallaigh scraped past drumloman in division one and looks like Denn, Naomh Brid, Templeport and the Gaels probably in the semis of Division two prittstick (Cavan) - Posts: 43 - 06/11/2016 01:07:50 1931979 Link 0 |
Naoimh Bridge? Beaten yesterday but I suspect you know this . Why are the Gaels in Div 2 . Going down to try and win a handy cup disgrace. There is only 1 div to be in and it's div 1. Teams not strong enough should join up .

What ever division Ramor are in I cannot see anyone beat them they are a class act. I would expect the county U21 manager would have been impressed with what he saw for sure. Galligan for Templeport stood out the other evening worth another watch for sure.

any stand out players from the weekend? Mounty (Cavan) - Posts: 32 - 06/11/2016 19:53:18 1932135 Link 0 |
Naomh Brid were not beaten they easily saw off a very poor Eire Og side that were reliant on Tom Hayes. The Gaels bet Cornafean today 2-8 to 2-4, a closer affair than most would expect. A few division 2 sides that could have held their own in division 1. Good win for Assan Gaels today over St Joes but Ramor are very impressive and won't be easy to stop

Was at a few of the games over the weekend, after seeing ramor I thought there wasn't a hope of anyone stopping them from winning it again,10/11 senior medalists on the team,Bradley outstanding.was impressed though by southern Gaels and reckon if they cud avoid ramor they will make the final, the 2 Gowna boys although young are great talents.Assan didn't play well particularly in 2nd half but held on but are over reliant on Doughty,Magee and jason mc Mahon but cud also sneak into final and they will get better the more they train together CR7 (Cavan) - Posts: 125 - 07/11/2016 13:49:06 1932368 Link 0 |
The Red card shown to Southern Gaels midfielder could prove crucial to the outcome of this U21 Championship as they look best placed to compete with Ramor. Talked to a few good GAA folk at the games over the weekend from multiple clubs and the consensus was definitely that this is not the time of year to be playing championship football. We need to find a better slot in the calendar for this competition to be held as there is great competition at this level. Tom get yourself over to the U21 Championship as there are only 2 Clubs left in the Quarter Final Stages. 6 Amalgamations and your beloved Gaels trophy hunting in Div2 rahanman (Cavan) - Posts: 127 - 07/11/2016 15:16:27 1932397 Link 0 |
Which 2 Clubs are you referring to Laragh, Ramor or Castlerahan

Anyone know the starting 15s from the St Joes v Assan game? CavanAgain (Cavan) - Posts: 196 - 07/11/2016 16:16:28 1932426 Link 0 |
Crosserlough very poor. Didn't seem to have a game plan . Ramor will get a tougher test the next day . Jack Doyle was mom with 4 goals and a point. Bradley was quiet by his high standards. Brein o Connell definitely a county Senior player in the making . Southern Gaels will put it up to Ramor . Galligan got a stupid red card when the game was over and them winning. What comes over lads. Gaels in trouble again with county board. Discipline a big problem there. There is no place for that kind of behavior. Naoimh Brid will win div 2 out .

Correction on my part 3 Clubs and 5 amalgamated sides. It has been the norm for amalgamations to enter the U21 championship over the last number of years which I believe is great to see. We need to find a different time of year for this competition. Borrowing the Joe Brolly controversy hat I would be suggest that we have only one U21 Championship . Clubs having the option to Enter on their own or amalgamate. rahanman (Cavan) - Posts: 127 - 07/11/2016 20:00:15 1932507 Link 0 |
