Or

Gives us options of Mc Kiernan Givney Argue in midfield. We are lost in midfield.

I was far more disappointed with the way we played rather than the result as we seemed to drift back into our bad old ways of slow build up and taking the ball into the tackle far too often.. Several times players in a good scoreing position passed the ball to a player in a worse position... We had a great chance just before halftime to get a score but despite camping 30/40 m from the Tyrone goal for 2/3 mins nobody would take a pop at goal...it was depressing to watch... All 4 teams were set up defensely on Sunday but Cavan looked the worst because they were far too slow to break when they regained possession... Tyrone moved the ball foreword through the hand at pace and hit the full foreword line early while we moved the ball sideways and back but seldom if ever hit the full foreword line... Hyland either lost his bottle or had little faith in his players going into this game...he reverted to type and played into Tyrones hands...

From former Tyrone player Philip Jordan in the Irish News.
"The experience of playing in Croke Park will have been a great experience for this Cavan team. They pushed the team that are fourth favourites for the All-Ireland all the way. After Ronan O'Neill's goal, I expected Tyrone to pull away, but Cavan refused to fold.

Cavan's defensive set-up has been their strength for the last few years and they have definitely improved in their transition to attack. They break out with much more pace, giving them more opportunities to score.

Tyrone are one of the most organised teams, defensively, in the country. Cavan still managed to score 12 points from play and they won't come up against many teams who are as disciplined in the tackle as Tyrone".

Four years ago cavan lose by 5 to Longford it's a terrible failure! Three years ago to say meath then say roscommon then this year tyrone. What next they lose to Dublin by 5 next year and the same clowns tell tales of doom. Who cares about last Sunday. Armagh is the real deal then div one next year.

I don't think we are calling it doom and gloom or anything ,we know we have a great team like it doesn't seem that long ago Waterford came and beat us in breffni , Terry brought through young players and has Cavan football in a better place now ,I think after playing Tyrone twice we just wanted to see a bit of cuteness and find a system that tactically would of left Tyrone changing their game to beat us and not the other way around ,personally I would like to see a team picked based on your opponents and what we think will beat them . rather than the same starting team all the time ,it would show the management was doing their homework on opponents and doing everything they can to give us the upper hand .but again im not unhappy with where we are ,.

Sceptical - bit of a trend there I'd say...losing....

Read Terry's interview - for 9 yrs, Tyrone have employed the exact same tactics as they did on Sunday, yet we had no action plan to combat it, that's what's disappointing about the loss, no plan b. Mickey Harte neutralised our danger men because he had his homework done on us.

Good enough display from the team but poor tactical display from the manager.
He said that Tyrone always use the same tactic but what did he do to nullify it? Nothing it seems.

It'll hardly be enjoyable. Training in hot weather. I'd imagine last night can let hair down.

Eoin Maguire will be putting them through their paces, that's for sure! It will actually kick them on nicely hopefully and I dont think anyone who has interest in Cavan football would begrudge them a week of sun and preparation for the main event coming next month. I actually read that us and Monaghan may be in breach of some GAA rule relating to club fixtures. Not sure any club games have been effected.

Hope that Terry invested in factor 50 for some of the paler lads - Mackey, McLoughlin, McDermott and others are no use to us with burned arses!! ;)

Reformation I just read the same article
http://www.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-games/gaelic-football/monaghan-and-cavan-in-dock-for-breaking-training-camp-ban-34686550.html

And this training camp is in between two ACFL games so it kind of is interfering with club fixtures but don't think too many clubs would be annoyed about it
