Looking forward to this final.

I'm a neutral and all I really want to see is, given that both have won it recently, that the winner gives Ulster a proper crack.
Celebrate alright, careers are short. But don't overdo it. Ulster wide open this year with the form of some teams.

Cavan champions are away to the Down winners at Senior and Intermediate. Kilcoo with Karl lacey as manager will be aiming for Ulster after losing narrowly to Scotsown last year. They play Burren in the down final.

Probably the toughest possible draw (if it is Kilcoo) but they weren't great when they came to Breffni to play Gowna.
There's where the difference will be - that was Gowna's breakthrough win and we all saw the celebration videos online. . .even game for first 20 mins and then blown away fitness/concentration-wise.

Ramor and Crosserlough have both won it recently enough to moderate/delay the celebrations, and it's what they should do if they're taking Ulster seriously.

I think you are right, it's a tough draw. But you mean Ramor and not Gowna. I thought Gowna performed very well last year again Glenties. But maybe it needs to be a teams second win before they give Ulster a proper crack

It was Naomh Conaill from Donegal who Gowna played last year in Breffni. Kilcoo hammered Ramor in 21 in Breffni. But that was 3 years ago now.

Sorry, yeah it was Ramor.
But that's my exact point. This year's win won't be a breakthrough whoever wins it. If they have anything about them, they'll look at the win as step 1 on the ladder.

Not sure about that. Crosserlough won the championship in 2020 but there was no provincial club because of covid. Gowna weren't new last year. They played Enniskillen Gaels the year before.

Knockbride justified their pre tournament favouritism in the end…. Could have won by a lot more as they passed up 2/3 very good goal scoring chances…. Looking at them I don't think they have what it takes to challenge for the Ulster junior title but they have a weight of their shoulders now and might improve….. Whose county champions do they play does anyone know….? Senior + Inter travel to Down…!

Ever the optimist eh Tom???

Maybe Cavan parishes should adopt your beloved amalgamation model like Tydavnet/Ballinode/Knockatallon/Scotstown with a few McCurrin transfers thrown in....

Have to fancy Ramor by a few pts, after getting more quality players back on the field in the last few weeks, James Brady should be good to go and they have players from the bench that can bring them over the line. Both teams generally like to go out and play ball but Crosserlough probably a bit more defensive this year. Looking forward to it and May the best horse jump the ditch.

Tomsmith here

As a neutral going down Breffni Lane on County final day ( It is a sad day no Gaels in Final ) I have to say that I prefer Ramour who play a similar brand of nice football like Cavan Gaels.

My prediction:
Crosserlough v Ramor... Crosserlough by 4

And people gave out about the standard of the junior grade semi finals which was also played in stormy conditions without blaming the weather..diabolical performance by ramor..imagine that being the 2nd best team in the county, shambolic.

Big congratulations to all the decision makers in Cavan gaa who made the decision for the final to go ahead today. Imagine training all your life for the biggest day of your gaa career and then try and perform in gael force wind and rain for no good reason. I hope they can explain the rationale behind their decision player or supporter welfare were obviously high up in their priorities. Fair play to them. They deserve our support.
