Replying To cavanman47:  "So 1) I've proven that you were incorrect in trying to pick up on a grammatical error. Proven it. I don't see why you're still arguing that part.

And 2) Tyrone wouldn't pick Gearoid McKiernan who cleaned them out at midfield last month?"
No Allstar nominations for our man but two midfielders for Tyrone in the mix...

You think All Star selection has something to do with the best players? It doesnt. Its got to do with rewarding teams who got a certain distance in the championship. They are a joke to be honest.

The Allstars will be picked from the last 4 in the championship with the winners getting maybe 7. Runners up 4 and maybe 2 each to losing semi finalists. McManus/Beggan/ k o Connell from Monaghan. Comer Galway maybe Clifford Kerry . Rest will be Dublin / Tyrone.
Don't often agree with Fredflint but it is a joke

If they were picked on the best players then how many Cavan players do you think would be nominated?

What a ridiculous comment!

Colm Cavanagh didn't even play midfield for Tyrone, but he's been excellent all year and will get an all star.

He is nominated at midfield as I'm guessing the panel already have their 6 defenders in mind (most likely Cooper, Hampsey, Gallagher, McCaffrey, McCarthy, O'Connell).

Donnelly had a good season, but won't get an all star. And yes, he was playing in midfield when Gearoid dominated the majority of the game.

On this year's showing none. Maybe mcvitty as an outsider more based on league performances.

Let's be honest Cavan have not got a player to be named on this years top and to be honest it would be difficult to find one in the top 45. That's not being disrespectful it's just the truth nothing else.

I 100% agree. I believe the last time we even had a player nominated was 5 years ago when we had 3 nominated thanks to a good run to the quarter final. Before that I think our last nomination was James Reilly in the mid 2000s. And Dermot McCabe was our last recipient, says it all really doesn't it.

Was The Holla the one of the highest scoring half backs from play in Ireland this year if not who was?

So Cavan got to Div 1 without having 1 player good enough to be in the top 45. And they had to play their home gamnes on a bog of a pitch too. That is an amazing achievement.

Madge I can tell you lad or lassie Cavan did not have to play on a bog of a pitch. It was in very good playable condition and remember I should know. There was a situation where the whole country was effected and no one can legislate for the weather that was.

Would you like that without any of the Dublin panel included?

The two All-Ireland Finalists names 26 players each, thats 52 players, not one Cavan player would get on either panel, and thats not even the top 45 players in the Country.....
