Strange that Keogan has stepped down having led Castlerahan to their first title. A great achievement. Does he have another job lined up?

I did hear that my sources were incorrect in my last post, even though they were close. Kevin McDonnell was indeed approached by Ramor but is staying with Lavey for another year.

And it is Larry not Peter Reilly who is taking over Knockbride. So Peter would seem to still available.. Perhaps he might be an option for his neighbours Shercock who I hear are on the lookout?

His most recent interview gives his reasoning in no uncertain terms. He's brought them as far as he can

He said nothing like that. In fact he said they could win more. You and facts don't seem to go together.

Sorry, I should've been clearer. The 2 sentences in my post should be read as separate points.

He wasn't happy that they over celebrated the win (although it's perfectly understandable). I believe that's why he stepped down.

It's my opinion that he's taken them as far as he can, not his.

Don't think it was solely that reason. He was planning to go anyway. The goal of winning the championship was won, league title also. Hard to get the players to follow it up next year . Martin Corey was a big help and he wouldn't have been involved next year

I think at the 1/4 final stage he said he would not be manager of Castlerahan next year so old news. He has bragging rights now but to go and do it the following year gives you real reason to brag if you want. Will Castlerahan win the championship next year I don't think so but I don't begrudge them their maiden senior title long over due..

Don't think Castlerahan will care going by the over the top celebrations.

Is Danny the Gunner not taking over Cavans U20 team, Talk on the street is that he is??
Martin Dunne is that the former county player or his father ??? Rumor had it that Martin Dunne and Seannie Johnson were taking over Drumalee again talk on the street. I wonder does it mean that Seannie has opted to do another year playing for the county??

Co BOard approached Danny about U20s job but he had already accepted Killygarry job. Andy mc Govern is in with him in Killygarry. Martin Dunne junior over Drumalee.
