Canon Brady, V Rev Patrick E

A native of Templeport, Very Rev. Patrick E. Canon Brady of Knocktemple, Virginia was the retired parish priest of Munterconnaught/Castlerahan. He was a keen GAA enthusiast and rarely missed a club or county game. The Guard of Honour at Very Rev. Brady's removal represented three local clubs - Crosserlough, Denn and Munterconnaught. His remains were carried by members of Crosserlough and Munterconnaught as well as East Cavan Pioneers. He was always great company going to and returning from GAA matches - club, colleges or county and thoroughly enjoyed his first visit to the newly-developed Croke Park. His love of the GAA, however, paled into insignificance compared to the tremendous amount of community work he spearheaded in his parish.
