There was great sadness felt in the Bunnoe area in July with the sudden death of Brian Dempsey, Drumbartagh, Lisboduff. A quiet family man, Brian passed away in his 75th year. He had a great interest in football and in particular the Cavan senior team. His funeral took place in St Mary's Church in Bunnoe and Brian is survived by his wife Margaret, daughters Angela and Fiona, brothers Pat and Anthony, sisters Mary, Anne, Patricia and Yvonne, sons-in-law and grandchildren.
