Patricia Kelly (Sister Pat) left this world in her 91st year last March and her passing was felt by many in the Crossdoney community. A Medical Missionary of Mary sister and a medical doctor, Patricia also had a great interest in sport. Shortly after entering the convent, she asked permission from the foundress of the Medical Missionaries of Mary to go see her beloved Cavan play at Croke Park. She was told 'nuns don't go to matches' but was given permission to listen to the game's broadcast by Michael O'Hehir on Radio Eireann.
