In what may well be a first in the GAA, four sets of brothers lined out for the O’Loughlin Gaels U11 hurling team at a tournament in Killeagh, East Cork last Saturday.
Whatever about four sets of brothers lining out together at adult level, it’s practically unheard of at underage level where players are restricted to their own age group.
“Congrats to Noah and Neesha Power, Ollie and JJ Wall, Dylan and Eoin McGee, and Andrew and Michael Gibbons, who helped their team win the tournament - future senior hurlers no doubt!” the reigning Kilkenny and Leinster club hurling champions posted on Facebook.
