Cork boss Ger Manley credited his group for putting “everything in” leading up to this summer’s championship.

The Rebels defeated Galway by 2-14 to 0-19 this afternoon to get their hands back on the coveted O’Duffy Cup, avenging last year’s defeat to the Tribeswomen by the same one-point margin in the process.

Speaking to RTE Sport after the final whistle at Croke Park, a delighted Manley said a massive effort went in from his players to get back to this stage and, ultimately, get over the line towards the county’s 31st All-Ireland senior camogie crown.

"We've such a good group, a tight group. It's been a very hard year,” he stated.

“We knew a couple of weeks out from the championship that we had something, and they put everything in, the players, the management, the whole lot. And this is what we're here for, winning All-Irelands.

"We played a challenge against Limerick three weeks out from the (first) Galway game, and we played some great hurling, but we trained so hard. 

"The girls put so much in, we had girls came back from bad injuries, we did doubt ourselves a small bit but have so much talent. It all came in together, we got great support. We're just delighted."
