"They're going to have to do something" - Offaly boss calls for U20 final date switch

Offaly U20 boss Leo O’Connor wants the GAA to move the All-Ireland U20HC final so as team captain Charlie Mitchell can play in the decider.
O’Connor’s charges defeated Wexford in a cracking Leinster final yesterday evening at Netwatch Cullen Park, where it finished 1-21 to 0-22, and as a result advanced to a date with Cork in the All-Ireland final on May 27th.
It is the same day which Offaly’s senior hurlers are set to play Carlow in the Joe McDonagh Cup final and, also being a member of his county’s senior team, it means Mitchell will not be able to play in the U20 decider against the Rebels.
"It's a good problem to have, one that we're extremely proud of, and extremely proud of Charlie Mitchell as well. From our point of view, onwards and upwards and away we go,” O'Connor told TG4 after the final whistle.
"They're going to have to do something. [Charlie Mitchell] is captain of the U20 hurling team and he's full-forward on the senior hurling team. Something has to be done. It's an issue but, look, we'll get over it and let the powers that be deal with that."
