Cork and Tipperary remain unbeaten in this year’s Munster senior hurling championship after frantic finish at Pairc Ui Chaoimh this evening saw them share the points on a 4-19 to 2-25 scoreline.

Declan Dalton had given the Rebels the perfect start with a superbly taken fourth minute goal and the Rebels would have the sliotar in the net again before half-time through Robbie O’Flynn.

However, it was Tipp that led at the break (0-14 to 2-6) thanks to the points of Alan Tynan, Gearoid O’Connor and Mark Kehoe.

O’Connor got the visitors’ first goal 10 minutes into the resumption, surging them three clear again after Cork had levelled, and the Premier men would go five up with seven minutes left in normal time.

Darragh Fitzgibbon brought the Leesiders right back into contention with his team’s third goal and, while it would be erased by Kehoe at the other end, Brian Hayes strike on 69 minutes levelled the third round clash.

Seamus Callanan restored Tipp’s lead a minute later with a neat point ahead of Shane Kingston snatching the draw for Pat Ryan’s men with his third point of the evening.
